Tinker Signal uses AI tools to help research, organize and check factual information. We want you to know exactly where AI is involved and where it isn’t.
What we use AI for
- Factual information: gathering and organizing facts such as specs, prices, filings and dates, and checking them against primary sources like manufacturers’ own pages, official stores and regulatory filings.
- Keeping facts neutral: helping us write factual sections in plain, even-handed language, without favoring any brand.
- Keeping lists current: some pages, like our upcoming printers list and price tracker, are kept up to date with AI-assisted research and automated checks of official sources.
- Behind the scenes: help with coding the site, grammar, spelling and how articles are structured, plus simple header graphics.
What AI doesn’t do
- Opinions are always our own. Any opinion, recommendation or verdict on Tinker Signal comes from the writer, never from AI.
- Hands-on experience is real. When we say we tested or used something, a person did.
- A person signs off. Everything we publish is reviewed by a person before it goes live.
Spotted a mistake?
AI and people both make mistakes. If you notice a factual error anywhere on the site, please email corrections@tinkersignal.com with the page address and what’s wrong. We’ll check it against the source and fix it.
